Faith Based Institutions

The New York Transgender Advocacy Group (NYTAG) educate faith-based institutions on Transgender & Gender Non-Conforming (TGNC) issues and how to best serve them. Our interactive curriculum includes case studies allowing participants to learn through real life examples of serving the TGNC community. This 4-module training is dedicated towards faith based institutions with the mission of creating successful relationships with the TGNC community. Every module is designed to emphasize skills such as the using of using affirming language, becoming advocates, fighting off bias and using the role as a faith-based organization to promote wellness in the TGNC community.
